So here i am, sitting awake at 1 in the morning. And theres only one question on my mind. What am i doing up? I should be asleep! I should be dreaming....

Dreams. What could they be? If you are friends with me on facebook then you have heard my public outcry for answers. What is a dream? Technically its something to do with REM sleep but i dont really know. Does it really need an explanation? Can it not be an infinitesimal speck of pure love, fear, hate, emotion...

Why clutter it with words?

My life has drastically changed since my last entry. Well, drastically is more of an understatement. It is more like my world has flipped and turned and folded and reshaped since my last entry. Junior year is now over. Im a senior now. Its scary... these high school years have disappeared. I just hope through it all i come out a better, more prepared person. Me and Lindsay are no longer together. I broke up with her June fourth. barely two weeks ago. Yet... im not sorry. I dont feel a loss. I feel like i should, like there should be a hole in my heart or some sort of sorrow but... its not there. I hate to say it, because it sounds hateful and mean, but in all truth... our separation is the best thing that could have happened to me right now. My outlook on the future has increased. My friendships are blossoming. There's one in particular which i really enjoy cultivating. I really truly think that there is something there. Its going to take time. I'm not ready to have this rose in my life but... The feelings are all there it seems =]

Have i seen this all in a dream? Maybe. Maybe dreams are but the visual representations of ones subconscious mind...

The other night i dreamed i was walking down a red brick road in a park filled with maple trees. It was fall so the leaves on the trees were every shade of red and orange you can imagine. I headed toward one specific tree. This tree stood out from the other trees so that a sort of field surrounded it. It overlooked an ocean turned red and orange and yellow by the setting sun. Hung on this tree was a swing. There was my rose swinging quietly. I walked to her side, looking her in the eyes and smiled, sitting down on the ground. Together, we watched as the sun set on the ocean. In that last moment, the entire sky seemed ablaze. crimsons, maroons, oranges! The color of the setting sun combining with the leaves of the trees to form one last crescendo of color!

Whats the message in this dream? I cant be certain...

But i am certain of one thing. I cant help but listen to the message in my dream.
